Sometimes I think I spend too much time pottering and muddling around organising things rather than doing them, but I was getting tired of going through my Deviant Favourites and for one thing taking too long to find something I want and for another just not recognising some of the pictures that I had favourited.

Also I just plain don't like it when I favourite something and then someone comes on my page and thanks me for it. Not when I'm given to changing my mind later on and may un-favourite the piece.

So, a while back I did a big re-organisation of my favourites. I now have four folders on my computer: Pending, Okay, Middling and Good. When I see something I like I save it to Pending. It stays there and ruminates for a while before either getting deleted or going to Okay from where it's a skip and a jump to getting favourited and moved to Good.

Conversely favourites graze in the sunshine of the land of Good before sometimes slipping into the waters of Middling from where it's a short gasp and blub-blub to getting un-favourited and deleted.

There are a few more folders inside the Good one, but really that's just the favourites trying to get up onto higher ground away from the Middling folder.

So, now I have a fraction of the favourites I used to and the ones that I do have are a lot more likely to actually be what it says on the box (meaning that a favourite from me might actually mean something). Also, if I give you a favourite as soon as you put the thing up then that must mean that I really like it: it's skipped Pending and gone straight to Good.
